Kerala Flood Relief

The Nehru Memorial College of Education extended its helping hand towards the flood affected people of Kerala. The management, faculty and students expressed deep concern over the level of unprecedented flood situation in the neighbhouring state. All of them contributed their bit to buy rice, pulses, bed sheets, biscuts, candles, match boxes, torch lights, mosquito repellants, ready to eat food items, sanitary napkins, baby diapers, water bottles. Boxes of these items were sent to the flood affected people.
Speaking at the flood relief material dispatch meet, President Pon.Balasubramanian lauded the gesture of the students who came forward to donate their pocket money for the flood victims. Dean A.Prabaharan said that this kind of humanitarianism is desparately needed to create a humane world order. He wanted the younger generation to abandon narrow identities and rise above them to become a truly human civilization.
