The Department of English (Self-Finance) section of Nehru Memorial College organised Teachers' and Freshers' Day recently. Principal Dr.A.R.Pon.Perisamy presided over the function. Dean.Dr.A.Prabaharan felicitated. Head of the department Prof.K.Sundaralakshmi advised the students to use their time productively. Prof.Anthony Cruz, staff-in-charge of PG programme called upon the students to utilise the resources in the college.

Competitions were organised for the teachers. Students presented a colourful cultural program.
