Innovation Incubator of Nehru Memorial College organised a lecture on
"Social Media and Big Data" by P.Vigneswara Ilavarasan, an associate
professor from IIT, Delhi. Principal A.R.PonPeriasamy and Dean
A.Prabaharan spoke on the occasion.
In his lecture, P.Vigneswara
Ilavarasan said "The world is trending with big data. This is possible
with the social media. What we give in the social media is used to
inform the business world about our interests and preferences of
products. We like it not, the data about us is in circulation all over
the world.
A variety of income genearating opportunities and
employment arise from the big data and social media. Those who are
looking for bright future cannnot ignore both the social media and big
data.
In the end, S.Hariharan a final year student of MCA proposed a vote of thanks.
