Ramfest'2018

The department of Mathematics (S.F) celebrated the Mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujam's birthday as Ramfest'2018. Dr.Hariganesh, Assistant Professor of Government Arts College, Melaiyur, Nagapattinam was the Chief Guest. Principal Dr.A.R.PonPeriasamy presided over the fest. Cyclone Gaja Relief by B.Ed students of NMCEd

Sixty students from first year B.Ed program of Nehru Memorial College at Abinimanagalam carried out counseling and relief measures at the Cyclone Gaja affected places of Thanjavur and Trichy district. College President Pon.Balasubramanian and Dean A.Prabaharan flagged off the team of students. 

They distributed rice, pulses, water, mats, mosquito coils, match boxes , biscuts, snacks and clothes to two hundred families of Marungulam, Karunkulam villages situated 30 kms from Thanjavur on the Pattukottai road. In Thiruvalarsolai village near Kallanai, the students led by Dean A.Prabaharan counselled the banana farmers who have lost their produce.

Students were shocked over the devastation caused by Cyclone Gaja and they spoke words of consolation which soothed a bit of the affected people.

Deepavali Celebrations at the Nehru Memorial College of Education, Abinimangalam

Nehru Memorial College of Education at Abinimangalam honoured the President of the TNMCC group of Educational institutions Pon.Balasubramanian for his educational services to the society. Dean A.Prabaharan presided over the function and done the honours. In his Address, Dean Prabaharan said that it is apt to honour such a person and organisation who have lit the lamp of education in the thousands of families across Tamil Nadu for the past 51 years. Like Diwali, TNMCC group has brought several thousand families from darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. 

Pon.Balasubramanian thanked the organizers for honouring his educational services ranging from primary education to Ph.Ds and assured to continue his selfless service to the society.
