Nehru Memorial College of Education at Abinimangalam celebrated its College Day in a grand way. Students and staff who excelled in their fields were honoured. The winners of music, informal games, innovative thinking, dance, drama, technological innovations in teachers and other events were awarded with trophies.Dean Prof.A.Prabaharan in his opening remarks said "Education is the life-line of a society. If the education is right then the entire nation will be right. In the recent times, India has progressing well by investing huge sums of money in the expansion of education sector. At the same time, there is a severe compromise of quality of education provided in the country. This quality correction is the immediate step which we should take to make peace, progress and prosperity for all in the nation. With good teachers there will be good education. NMCEd strives to provide holistic teacher training so that the passed out student teachers will change the society for a better future.
President Er.Pon.Balasubrmanian in his felicitation address said "Teachers must understand the psychology of the students. Naturally students are naughty and playful. It is the duty of the teachers to provide the right path to the students. For this teachers must update their knowledge and skills regularly. Handling the students in a right ways is the urgently required skill. Teacher training institutes must train their students to handle students in the modern age. Technology and trivialities complicate the job of teachers. Without understanding these challenges, teachers cannot succeed in their profession.
